About Lydia

Are you the kind of person who loves spending time outdoors and appreciates a dog with a little personality? Then you might want to meet Lydia! Lydia came to us as a stray recently, so we're still getting to know her and discovering what makes her special. She has spent a few days in a foster home, where she did okay with the resident dogs. Lydia can be selective about her canine friends, so any potential doggy siblings will need to meet her before adoption to make sure everyone is a good match. One thing we know for sure? Lydia absolutely LOVES being outdoors! If you enjoy fresh air and spending time outside, she might be your kind of girl. Lydia is looking for an experienced, patient adopter who understands that building a relationship takes time. She will need someone willing to work with her, provide training, and help her learn what it means to be a successful family dog. Respecting her boundaries and allowing her the time and space she needs will be important in helping her feel comfortable and build trust. Lydia isn't looking for just anyone; she's looking for someone who understands her, sees her potential, and is ready to put in the work to help her shine! If you're an experienced dog owner who believes in patience, consistency, and letting a dog learn at her own pace, Lydia might be the girl you've been waiting for. Come meet her and see if you're the right match for this outdoors-loving lady! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog's better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. Your dog’s adoption fee includes: - Current age-appropriate CORE Vaccines (Rabies/DHPP/Bordetella) - Heartworm Tested - Current on NexGard PLUS Monthly Preventative Chew (Flea/Tick/Heartworm Preventative & Dewormer) - Spaying or Neutering - 24-Petwatch Microchip Adoption fee: $135.00 Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2026 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older.
