About Allen

Meet Allen! This young Chocolate Labrador Retriever arrived at the shelter as a stray on October 27, 2026. At still under a year old, heโ€™s understandably a bit scared and underweight, sporting some fly bite scars on his ears. Despite his rocky start, heโ€™s a sweet boy who loves attention and enjoys hot dogsโ€”a true foodie! Allen may be timid around squeaky toys, but with the right training and guidance, he has the potential to be a fabulous companion. He's available for adoption now, so don't wait too long to come meet him in person. Allen is currently at the Richland County Dog Shelter in Mansfield, OH. The adoption fee is sponsored, so it's a perfect time to bring him home! Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
