About Asher

Meet Asher! This 6-month-old pup has quite the backstory. Rescued from the euthanasia list in Texas just before it was too late, Asher’s tale is ready for a happier chapter. His mom wasn’t so lucky, but we’re committed to ensuring Asher finds the loving family he deserves. Initially nervous in the shelter, Asher transforms into an affectionate, cuddly, and playful dog in a home setting. He's great with kids, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and has a zest for life that includes playing with toys, fetching, and zooming around the backyard. What’s remarkable is his balance. He enjoys playtime but also knows how to relax. Asher can chill on the couch with you during movie nights, embodying the perfect blend of fun and couch potato vibes. Asher is crate trained, adjusts well in the car, and excels at housetraining. He even rings the bell on the back door when he needs to go outside—smart little guy! His watchful side comes out when he spots anything in the yard, from dogs to squirrels, and he's certainly got a vocal side thanks to his beagle and husky heritage, capable of a good howl. But don’t worry, he’s all about wags and kisses if you get close! A home with a privacy fence or limited foot traffic would be ideal for him. And don’t let his pictures fool you; Asher is about 27 pounds, making him more compact than he seems! This sweet boy is ready to leave his rough beginnings behind and discover a family that will cherish him as much as he will love them back. Asher is fostered in Mead, Colorado. *Note: All adopters must travel to Colorado to meet and adopt Asher, as we do not transport dogs.* Give him a chance, and you won’t regret it!
