About Nala

Meet Nala, a stunning Basenji and Black Mouth Cur mix with an athletic spirit, a bright smile, and irresistibly lovable ears. At 5 years old and around 50 pounds, she strikes the perfect balance between playful energy and devoted companionship. Nala loves to play hard, chase toys, and explore the outdoors, but she also values her downtime in a safe and comfortable spot. She's happiest when she's part of an active family, ready to include her in daily adventures. Having experienced some challenges in her past, Nala is careful when meeting new faces. She requires a patient adopter who knows that building trust takes time. Although she may not immediately warm to everyone, once she does, you’ll find an incredibly loyal friend for life. Nala gets along well with other dogs if introductions are done properly, though she has shown some resource guarding behavior with food and toys. She's not possessive with people, making her more suited to a home where her meals and special items can be managed by an experienced owner, or as the only pet soaking up all the love herself. If you're looking for a faithful companion who rewards patience with endless loyalty, Nala is ready to begin her next chapter. She's waiting for someone willing to see past her shy exterior and discover the remarkable dog she truly is. Nala is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and up to date on heartworm, flea, and tick prevention. She's house trained and settles quietly in her crate after a fun-filled day.
