Meet Laredo! This handsome boy is ready for a second chance at life after spending over five years with his loving family. He’s a sweet, smart dog who enjoys meeting new people and being part of the action. Laredo already knows commands like sit and paw, walks nicely on a leash, and is both house and crate trained. He’s quite vocal too, often expressing himself with a good howl! Currently, Laredo is getting professional training, and he’s doing well. He has shown compatibility with large female dogs and may be okay with more submissive males, but cautious introductions are necessary. His compatibility with smaller dogs is still being assessed. Laredo craves companionship and doesn’t handle being alone very well. He thrives in environments where he isn’t left by himself for extended periods. A home with another compatible dog or where someone is around often would be ideal for him. He also has a strong prey drive, so he cannot live with cats or small animals. He enjoys outdoor time but has a history of escaping, so secure fencing is a must. Laredo needs a dedicated and experienced adopter who will provide him with structure, consistent exercise, and lots of love.
