About Jolene
Meet Jolene, a sweet Australian Shepherd mix looking for her forever home. At 2 years and 5 months old, this lovely girl weighs about 52 pounds and is located with a trainer in Orange County, CA, though she can be adopted throughout California and several neighboring states. Jolene is soft spoken and shy, having come a long way from her journey of abandonment in the desert. While she is cautious with other dogs and takes time to warm up to new people, she is gentle and good with humans once she gets to know them. After months of dedicated training, she is learning to enjoy human companionship. Recently, she has started to let her caregivers pet and brush her, and she finds comfort in these moments. As an independent spirit, Jolene values a routine and needs a patient family willing to help her build trust. She is house trained, knows how to sit, and loves her crate. Though she is still getting used to the idea of family life, she enjoys walks, playing with toys, and basking in the sun when feeling comfortable. Could you be the safe haven Jolene has been searching for? With love and understanding, she is ready to form a special bond. What are you waiting for? Apply today!

Questions about Jolene
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Jolene, as an Australian Shepherd mix, thrives best in a loving and patient home rather than a chaotic environment. She needs a secure space where she can feel safe and gradually build trust.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Australian Shepherds generally enjoy moderate exercise, so Jolene would greatly benefit from a home with a yard or access to parks for regular walks and playtime.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Jolene does not get along well with children, so she would be happiest in an adult-only home or one where older, respectful children can understand her needs.
