Meet Pumpkin. This resilient boy has endured challenges that no dog should face, yet he still has a heart full of love. Abandoned on a tether and subjected to harsh weather conditions, he has suffered major neglect and is currently quite emaciated. Despite his rough past, Pumpkin remains incredibly sweet and affectionate, especially with children. He truly has a special spirit and still trusts people, seeking out love and warmth. Now that he’s escaped his difficult situation, he is looking for a safe and loving place to recover. Currently on a stray hold until November 9, he’s not microchipped yet. We are hoping to connect him with a rescue or foster in Raeford, NC, who can give him the care he so desperately needs. When he’s ready for adoption, he deserves a full belly, a cozy bed, and the loving environment he’s been longing for. This heartfelt plea goes out to anyone who can lend a hand or share his story.
