About Tater

Meet Tater! He’s a sweet, fluffy 3-4 month old Shih Tzu mix puppy, bursting with charm. This adorable boy was rescued from a hoarding situation in South Texas and is now ready for a loving family to call his own. Though Tater's exact size can't be guaranteed, we think he’ll remain on the smaller side, likely under 20 lbs as an adult. As a young puppy, he’ll thrive with a family eager to engage in potty training, socialization, and basic obedience training. His fluffy coat will need regular grooming to stay healthy and mat-free. Tater is set to arrive in Virginia on November 13th, and we’ll know more about his personality once he settles into foster care. Tater does well with both dogs and children, making him a perfect fit for a warm, active home. Note that he is not yet neutered, and his future family will need to sign a spay/neuter agreement. If you're ready for the joys and responsibilities of puppyhood, Tater is waiting for you. Click apply to start the adoption process.
