About Star
Meet Star, an adorable 7-year-old Schnauzer mix weighing just 7 pounds. This tiny sweetheart has a gentle heart and a lot of love to give. Initially a bit shy in new surroundings, she quickly bonds with her person and shows her affection through cuddles and companionship. Star prefers a quiet lifestyle, happily lounging in dog beds, enjoying the fresh air, and being close to her favorite human. Star is house-trained but may have occasional accidents if her routine is disrupted. She enjoys walks on a leash and is beginning to explore her crate. While she's been around other dogs, she's selective about her canine friends, showing some tension with certain dogs, especially in her home environment. A well-matched dog could be a good companion, but she may be best suited as the only pet. While Star has not been around cats, she would thrive in an adult-only home or one with a very calm environment due to her sensitivity to noise. Car rides can increase her anxiety, so consistency and reassurance will help her settle into her new life. Star is currently in foster care in Oak Forest, IL. Could this sweet girl be your little shadow? Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
