About Hugo

Hugo is a 1-year-old Chihuahua mix, weighing about 14 pounds. Once this little guy feels at home, his vibrant personality shines through. Give him a few days to settle in, and you’ll discover that he’s a comical little riot! Hugo is playful and silly, often making you laugh without even trying. When comfortable, he embraces his goofy side and isn't shy about showing his affection. This boy gets along wonderfully with other dogs, so being part of a multi-dog household would be perfect for him. He's also successfully housebreaking! Hugo has some quirks to consider. He feels fearful around children and teenagers, so an adult home or one with older kids who are gentle and patient would suit him best. He prefers a calm atmosphere where he can relax. As for cats, Hugo finds them great fun to chase, so it's best for him to be in a cat-free environment unless introductions can be managed. Despite his rough start in life, once Hugo trusts you, he reveals himself as a loving and funny companion. He doesn’t need a perfect family, just one that understands his need for time and patience. The affectionate clown in him is definitely worth the wait. Click apply to start the adoption process.
