About Chet

Chet is a 7-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound weighing about 47 pounds, and he could very well be the most agreeable dog you'll meet. Having been found as a stray in rural Missouri, he's shown nothing but charm at the vet and during grooming sessions. His foster has cared for many dogs, and she describes Chet as the nicest she's had, which is quite a testament. He enjoys the company of other dogs, fitting right in with his foster's six-hound crew, and he’s indifferent to cats. While he can be a bit shy with new people, he warms up quickly and even knows basic commands like sit and heel. Currently, Chet might prefer to nap, as he's being treated for ehrlichia, a tick-borne illness, but he's eating well and is expected to bounce back soon. Chet dreams of a forever home where he can take long sniffy walks and, most importantly, be loved and pampered as a cherished family member. Chet is located in Tulsa, OK, but transport is available for adoption anywhere in the USA. Click apply to start the adoption process.
