Meet Pistachio, an adorable 12-week-old mixed breed pup, probably a lab and heeler blend. As of October 15, 2026, this sweet girl weighs in at 15 pounds. Pistachio and her littermates—Hazelnut, Macadamia, Cashew, Almond, Chestnut, Peanut, and Walnut—were an unexpected surprise for their previous owners, who have decided to keep mom and dad and ensure they’ll be spayed and neutered. We are grateful that these pups were surrendered, giving them a chance at a brighter future. Pistachio is a friendly, affectionate little one with plenty of playful energy. She has interacted well with everyone she meets, including children, and has shown a natural compatibility with other dogs. Currently being fostered in Mississippi, she’s eager for her journey north to Pennsylvania, where she can meet potential forever families. Though she’s still working on her house training, Pistachio is crate-trained and learning her leash skills. She thrives on outdoor play, so a home with a fenced yard would be perfect for her to romp around as she grows. Pistachio is up to date on her puppy vaccinations and will need to be spayed when she’s old enough.
