About Ghost

Meet Ghost! Ghost is a gentle, shy neutered male, around 1 to 2 years old, and he’s a merle Great Dane weighing about 60 pounds. After being part of a large Frenchie hoarding case, he spent months navigating neighborhoods on his own before finding his way into care. Now vetted, he’s ready to embrace the next chapter of his life. Ghost's journey hasn’t been easy; he is still learning how to trust. Though nervous around new experiences, he’s a sweet dog at heart. He shines on the leash, sticking close and walking like a pro. Ghost doesn’t seem to mind other animals, exhibiting his naturally gentle nature. However, without a leash or clear direction, Ghost may struggle to understand how to simply be a dog. He needs assistance in learning to relax, play, and explore. A previous foster noticed he guards his food, so a quiet routine and personal space at mealtimes are essential. His ideal home is with a patient, experienced adopter who understands fearful dogs and is willing to progress at Ghost's pace. A confident, easygoing resident dog and a fenced yard would be beneficial. If you have experience with shy dogs, Ghost is waiting for you. Ready to meet him? Apply today! Transport to your home is available for an additional $185.
