About Duke Tarkitty
Duke Tarkitty and his best friend Duchess come from a partner rescue in Tennessee. They are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. The ideal home for Duke would be a quiet, low-activity environment without children or dogs. Duke has a beautiful, fluffy coat that requires regular grooming to keep it smooth and free of knots. He enjoys being brushed, though he does have a habit of getting little black particles around his eyes from dried tears. While he doesnβt appreciate his foster mom wiping them away, itβs important for his comfort. Duke loves playing with toys, while Duchess prefers to watch, but both enjoy sharing lap time when they crave attention. In their foster home, they eat a mix of canned Fancy Feast and high-quality chicken-based kibble, maintaining good appetites. A tall scratching post and a high-sided litter box provide all they need for play and hygiene. They both appreciate having cozy bed options around for their snoozes. Duke is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, FIV/FeLV negative, and microchipped. Keep in mind, 4Paws only considers local adoptions within the Northern VA/DC/MD metro area, and does not adopt to students. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
