About Moonbeam

Moonbeam came to WAIF as a stray after spending a couple of days loose at Libbey Beach Park. She eventually had to be safely caught using a dog trap. When she first arrived, Moonbeam was very shy and cautious around new people. While she still likes to keep a little distance, she certainly hasn't lost her personality or her spunk! It takes Moonbeam some time to warm up, but with patience, she eventually accepts pets and treats. She is a playful girl who is beginning to show us her true personality, and we are discovering that she is quite sassy and opinionated! Moonbeam doesn't appear to have had much training, but she's made wonderful progress learning to walk on a leash and sit before her meals. We haven't had the opportunity to introduce her to other animals yet, though she seems comfortable walking past them in the halls and on the trails. Moonbeam is looking for a patient, understanding home that will give her the time and space she needs to build trust, continue her training, and let her wonderfully quirky personality shine.
