Ckalzone is a big, sweet, shy guy. And when we say big, we mean almost mini horse sized! He's been with his foster family for about 6 months. He's potty trained and getting the hang of walking on a leash. He does fine with the dogs, cats, and kids in his foster home. He just doesn't want anyone petting him yet. That's his thing. He'll walk right up and boop you with his nose. He'll lie down next to you on the couch. But the second you reach for him, he's gone. He's especially touchy about his paws, so we think something may have happened to him before he came into rescue. The only time he allows you to pet him is if he's backed into a corner. Even under those stressful circumstance he doesn't growl or snap. He just looks scared, and as his fosters we try not to put him in that spot. Ckalzone is curious and playful, and he's come a long way, but he's still a project dog. He needs someone patient who's okay letting him decide when he's ready and who gets excited about the small stuff, like a boop, a lean, or a nap a little closer than yesterday. If you can give him time and not rush him, you'll end up with a loyal, goofy giant who picked you himself.
