Meet Sirius — the shepherd mix with the heart of a guardian and the soul of a best friend. Siriuss story starts the way so many heartbreaking ones do... on the side of a road. But what makes his story unforgettable is what he chose to do with it. When our team found him, Sirius was out there protecting a mama dog and her five helpless puppies—standing watch, keeping them safe, and refusing to leave their side. Its the kind of loyalty you dont teach... its simply who he is. Once we were able to safely trap him and bring him back, we expected a dog who might be guarded or unsure. Instead, Sirius surprised us in the best way: he is an absolute lover. He adores people, melts for attention, and is famous among our volunteers for his sweet face, gentle energy, and those I missed you! kisses. Sirius doesnt just want affection—he wants connection. Sirius is fully vetted and heartworm negative, and hes doing amazing with home-life basics. Hes potty trained and continues to improve every day as he works on leash manners. Hes smart, eager, and the kind of dog who will thrive with a family that enjoys consistency, structure, and lots of quality time together. Siriuss ideal home: -A home with kids 10+ -No other male dogs -We are currently testing and working with female dogs in playgroups If youve been looking for a dog who will make you feel like the most important person in the world, Sirius might be your guy. Hes loyal, affectionate, and truly one of a kind—the kind of companion who will follow you from room to room, lean into you for love, and remind you daily what it means to be chosen. Sirius didnt just survive—he protected others while doing it. Now its his turn to be safe, spoiled, and loved for the rest of his life. Ready to meet Sirius?
