Ross is a handsome 3-year-old, 22-pound Spaniel/Cattle Dog mix with a striking white coat, adorable black and brown spots, and a heart full of love! His breed is our best guess, but one thing we know for sure is that this sweet boy is absolutely irresistible! Ross may be 3 years old, but he still has all the playful energy and enthusiasm of a puppy! He is an affectionate, happy-go-lucky guy who loves spending time with his people. Whether he's heading out for a walk, exploring his surroundings, or soaking up some love and attention at home, Ross approaches life with a joyful spirit that's sure to make you smile. This smart boy is eager to please and a great listener! He's currently working on his basic commands, including "sit" and "stay," and is making wonderful progress as he learns the ropes. Ross walks nicely on a leash, although unexpected noises and busy environments can sometimes make him a little nervous. With gentle encouragement and reassurance from his person, he bounces right back. As he continues to gain confidence, we know he'll blossom into an even more wonderful companion. Ross currently shares his foster home with a small male dog, and the two get along well! He has also shown no aggression toward cats, although his enthusiasm can sometimes get the better of him. He's still learning that feline friends appreciate a calmer approach rather than an excited greeting, so patient introductions and a little guidance will be important in a home with cats. Another big plus? Ross is fully potty trained and knows to take care of his business outside! Ross would thrive in a loving home with people who appreciate his playful personality and are willing to continue helping him build confidence as he experiences new things. He's a wonderful mix of affection, energy, and eagerness to please, and with a little patience, consistency, and lots of love, he's sure to become an incredible companion. If you're looking for a fun-loving, affectionate, and loyal best friend who will bring plenty of joy and personality into your life, Ross might just be your perfect match. He is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. His adoption fee is $300. All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption. Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog. Fees help Second Chance Dog Rescue cover spay/neuter costs, vaccinations, medical treatments, food and supplies. Please go to www.secondchancedogrescue.org and complete an application today! All dogs live in private foster homes until they are adopted.
