Buford For six and a half years, Buford's world was a small, fenced-in patch of concrete. These days, he's making up for lost time! Buford and his sister, Lucy, spent their entire lives together in a concrete pen, with little room to run or explore. After their owner passed away and his wife had to enter a nursing home, the siblings were left needing a new place to call home. Now that Buford is at Noah's Arc, he's getting his first real taste of freedom, and boy, is he enjoying it! There's something wonderful about watching a dog who has spent his whole life in such a small space discover the joy of running through the grass. Buford is a happy, sweet hound mix who seems grateful for every bit of his newfound freedom. He's a good old hound dog with a whole lot of life left to enjoy, and we'd love nothing more than to see him spend those years with a family of his own. Buford and Lucy have always been together, but they can be adopted separately. What matters most is finding each of them a loving home where they'll never have to miss out on life's simple pleasures again. Buford has spent six and a half years waiting for a bigger world. We think it's time he got one! About Noah's Arc Animal Rescue Noah's Arc Animal Rescue is a nonprofit animal rescue serving East Tennessee since 1991. We are committed to rescuing homeless dogs and cats, providing the medical care they need, and helping them find loving, lifelong homes. Every Noah's Arc pet is adopted out spayed/neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea & tick prevention, dewormed, and examined by a veterinarian. Dogs are heartworm tested, and cats are FIV/FeLV tested when age appropriate. Interested in adopting? Complete an adoption application to begin the process of finding your newest family member.
