Buttercup (approximately xx pounds) and her sisters Blossom & Bubbles were transferred to the NHSPCA from a foster home in Tennessee. The girls are social, friendly, and very very sweet. They may look like Labrador Retrievers, but we believe them to be Great Pyrenees mixes, which is a very different type of dog. Great Pyrenees are guardian breeds and they have the desire to do just that - guard things that they think are important. They are highly intelligent, stubborn, and fiercely loyal to their families. Pyrenees pups will need lots of socialization as they grow to help them learn that there are situations where they do not need to guard. You'll want to expose them to lots of public places, lots of different people, and you'll want to make sure that they enjoy it when friends stop by your home. At just under four months old, the girls are still working on their potty training, but once they are in a loving (and patient!) fur-ever home with people who keep them on a regular schedule, they should get the picture within a few weeks. We suspect that Buttercup will weigh xx pounds when full grown, but this is not an exact science, so please take it with a grain of salt. Come meet adorable Blossom today - she cannot wait for a family of her own! If you'd like to meet Buttercup and all her friends at the New Hampshire SPCA, please visit our Adoption Center during our open hours: 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. every day except Wednesdays (closed).
