💔 WE HAVE BETTY JO. AGAIN. 💔 Our precious Betty Jo has been returned to the shelter, through absolutely NO fault of her own. And our hearts are broken for her. Remember our House of Horrors pups? Betty Jo is one of those survivors. This beautiful girl has already lived through more than any dog should ever have to endure. She survived absolute HELL, and somehow, she came out the other side with a heart that still has SO much love to give. ❤️ We've learned a little more about what Betty Jo needs to truly thrive, and honestly, it's not much to ask. She needs consistency. She needs stability. She needs to feel SAFE. Betty Jo would do best in a home with a predictable routine, where unfamiliar people aren't constantly coming and going. After everything she's experienced, new faces and unfamiliar situations can be a little overwhelming. She's understandably shy at first, but once she knows you're her person? Oh, does this girl LOVE. 🥹 She loves with her WHOLE heart. She's an absolute snuggle bug who wants nothing more than to be close to the people she trusts. And don't mistake her shyness for a lack of personality! This girl has SO much life to live! 🐾 She LOVES playing fetch! 🐾 She loves snacks. Because, well, who doesn't?! 🐾 She loves walks where she can put that magnificent sniffer to work! 🐾 She loves lazy days snuggled up with her favorite humans. 🐾 She loves adventures and would happily become your little sidekick. 🐾 She enjoys the company of other dogs, and there were cats in her previous environment. Betty Jo isn't asking for perfection. She isn't asking for a mansion, a big fancy yard, or someone who can spend every waking moment entertaining her. She's asking for someone who will let her finally exhale. Someone who understands that trust is earned. Someone who won't expect her to love every stranger who walks through the door. Someone who will give her the time, patience, and consistency she deserves. Someone who will make a promise to her and KEEP IT. Because this beautiful girl has already lost so much. And now, once again, she's lost the one thing she thought she finally had. A home. 💔 Someone, PLEASE give Betty Jo her happily ever after. Not another concrete floor. Not another set of metal kennel doors. Not another night wondering where her people went. We want her to know what it's like to have a soft bed that belongs to HER. A couch where snuggles are plentiful. A kitchen where good food isn't served through the door of a cell. A family whose footsteps she recognizes. A routine she can count on.
