🐾 JACK SKELLINGTON -- FROM SURVIVING TO THRIVING! 🖤 This handsome, wrinkly, squishy-faced fella has quite the story to tell. And unfortunately, it didn't start out as a happy one. Jack was found wandering along a VERY busy highway. When one of our officers stopped to check on him, he noticed a home nearby and asked if Jack belonged to them. The response? "He's not mine, but he lives here. We feed him twice a week!" Excuse me. WHAT?! 😳 TWICE. A. WEEK. Not twice a day. Twice a WEEK. This poor boy was left to fend for himself, searching for whatever scraps he could find just to survive. In fact, when our officer found him, he was eating the remains of a deer along the highway. Thankfully, Jack was surrendered into our care, and that's where his story took a much happier turn. ❤️ When he arrived, he was painfully thin. But underneath those protruding bones was the sweetest, most affectionate, love-starved boy you could imagine. And let us tell you something about Jack... THIS BOY IS A CERTIFIED SNUGGLE BUG! 🥹❤️ He doesn't just want to be near you. He wants to be ON you. Leaning into you. Pressing his big ol' head against you. Getting as close as physically possible, as if he's trying to make up for every bit of affection he's ever missed. And those WRINKLES! 😍 His little arm rolls, his squishy face, his big blockhead... he's absolutely irresistible! Jack has been busy putting his past behind him. He's gained some much-needed weight, received a clean bill of health, and is finally getting to experience what it feels like to be cared for. 🐾 Jack's adoption details: * Heartworm NEGATIVE! * Up to date on vaccinations * Will be neutered as part of his adoption * Gaining weight and looking better every day * Professional cuddler and personal-space invader! ❤️ What makes us happiest isn't just watching Jack's body heal. It's watching his personality shine. This boy is SO HAPPY. Happy to have a full belly. Happy to have a soft place to rest. Happy to have someone reach down and love on him. Happy to know that the days of wondering where his next meal will come from are finally over. Jack has absolutely no idea how badly he was failed. He doesn't hold a grudge. He doesn't dwell on his past. He just loves with every ounce of that big, beautiful heart. Now he needs one last thing.
