Meet Fable, a mellow 2-year-old mama weighing 53 lbs. She arrived at the shelter with five puppies and has shown remarkable dedication as their mother. Fable had heartworms upon intake, but thanks to our Emergency Medical Fund, she's received treatment. While she is recovering, she needs strict crate rest for the next eight weeks—excessive activity could be dangerous for her. For now, her exercise is limited to a few short bathroom walks on a leash. Fable is extremely calm and appears house trained. During her time with us, she preferred to stay near me, enjoying gentle sniffing around rather than running about.
