About Opi

Meet Opi — A Miracle Kitty with a Whole Lot of Love to Give! Hi! I'm Opi, a blue-eyed, flame point miracle born on April Fool's Day, 2026. I came into this world with some pretty big challenges, but I've spent every day since proving that a tiny kitten can have an enormous will to live — and an even bigger capacity to love. I was born with hydrocephalus, a condition that affects my brain, balance, and coordination. I can't stand or walk on my own, but I've already beaten so many odds! I've never had a seizure, I've made wonderful progress, and I even have my very own custom wheelchair! I can scoot around on my side, too. I may do things differently, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying life! I need help eating, getting around, and staying clean. I can't use a litter box, but I've learned to use puppy pee pads! I'm even clever enough to tuck one underneath myself with my little paws when I need to pee. I need regular cleaning and occasional baths, but with a consistent diet, my bathroom routine is pretty predictable and manageable. But here's what I do best: LOVE! I adore being held, recognize familiar voices, love interactive toys, and have a purr motor that kicks into overdrive when I'm cuddled. My happiest place in the world is someone's arms. I'm looking for a special family who understands that I'll always need extra care, patience, and a helping hand. In return, I have endless affection, sweet purrs, and a whole lot of love to give. I wasn't supposed to have an easy life. But nobody told me I couldn't have a beautiful one. I don't need someone to feel sorry for me. I need someone who sees the loving little boy I am, not just the things I can't do. I may never be able to run into your arms, but if you'll open them for me, I promise to fill them with love. Since birth Opi has continued to thrive and improve. Due to his age and the risks surgical Intervention was not explored. He has thus far managed to thrive without any medication and while his impairment is clearly irreversible he has learned coping skills and had no medical issues resulting from his hydrocephalus. Opi is neutered, up to date on core vaccines and rabies vaccine, dewormed, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $350 Hydrocephalus - Science for Animal Welfare Water on the Brain (Hydrocephalus) in Cats: Causes, Signs & Treatment (Vet Answer) — Catster
