Meet Smokey! Smokey is an energetic and playful pup who came to us recently due to no fault of his own. He is 7 months old. He mother is a purebred Akita, and dad is some sort of a Shepherd mix per previous owner (we do not know exact mix). Smokey is very sweet, but needs work to learn manners with people (he likes to jump and does not know basic commands yet) but does appear at least mostly housetrained. Smokey has lived with dogs, cats, and kids. He does have some resource guarding behavior with other dogs, so slow acclimation/decompression time, and work will be needed for those things. He is despite this, very dog friendly and playful. Smokey's adoption fee is $150 and he is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. Akita breed experience would be great, but not required, of his new person/family.
