Listen. We have some explaining to do. Lunchbox was VERY close to heading back outside. Carrier? Check. Plans? Made. Opinion of humans? Previously, extremely negative. And then this man pulled out the eyes. You know the ones. The “ummm, actually, I may have made a mistake. Perhaps I would like to renegotiate the terms of my outdoor lifestyle?” eyes. And Misty, an absolute sucker, folded. I, personally, was not convinced. I believe my exact words were, “This cat wants nothing to do with us!!!” Man. Was. I. Wrong. Because Lunchbox has apparently decided that being a house cat is, in fact, his calling. He has allowed people to KISS HIS BIG MEATY HEAD. Happily. He purrs like he's trying to power the building and lower our electric cost. How kind! He sticks his booty straight up in the air for scratches. He rubs on your legs. He rubs on other cats. He rubs on the same other cats some more, just to make absolutely certain they know they're loved. He loves other kitties. He loves affection. He has betrayed his former brand. Who is this man?! Where did all this love come from?! What other secrets are we going to uncover?! We may never know. Mystery is part of the Lunchbox experience. What we do know is that this big, handsome meathead has a surprisingly soft coat, a heart full of love, and a whole lot of house-cat potential. He just needed someone to give him a chance to figure that out for himself. Now he's ready to trade the great outdoors for a cozy couch, a family of his own, and a lifetime supply of head kisses and butt scratches. Please, give Lunchbox his shot. He's already surprised the heck out of us. Imagine what he could do with a family willing to see past his tough-guy exterior and discover the absolute mush inside!!
