Strap, named for his cute little chinstrap that makes him look like he has a surprised face all the time, is a bouncy little kitty that loves to play. He is best friends with his brother, Friar Tux, and they go everywhere together. He is on the shy end, but extremely food motivated, so a little wet food will make for some good pets. He is well socialized with little kids. He enjoys playing with his foster family's 4 year old and 2 year old, who pet him and play with him with toys. Strap would not like rough play/being picked up like a doll, which is fine with his brother Friar Tux, but his first, second, and third reaction is just to move away. He loves other cats and will go out of his way to make kitty friends. He LOVES toys and will play with you for hours if you have a wand, yarn, or his favorite scrunchie toy. He also loves to come over and sit next to you and has big, big purrs. His foster mom also trained them to come into the cat carrier by tapping the floor of the carrier three times, which makes for easy transport! He's a good kitty in need of a loving forever home. Strap will be at the shelter for adoption Saturday 10/17 from 10am - 4pm- Come meet him! Our kittens grow up in foster homes, so they are not located on site for walk in visits. While we do our best to list what day they will be on site for adoption hours, please feel free to call the shelter at 480-497-8296 and press # to speak to our front desk and confirm availability. Our kittens are typically in for adoption hours Thursday 3p-7p and Saturday 10a-4p. Please note that ALL dogs and cats are available to the first home that meets the dog or cat that we feel is a good match. In order to help make the best match, we do want all family members (dogs and humans) to meet any potential new family member. Our adoption center hours are: Closed Sunday/Monday; Tuesday 10a-2p, Wednesday 3p-7p, Thursday 3p-7p, Friday 10a-2p, Saturday 10a-4p. All animals are available to the first family that is a good match, and if we have more than one animal who is a good match, there will be a lottery for all matches.
