Looking to Rehome Our Great Pyrenees/Lab Mix to the Right Home With very heavy hearts, we are looking to rehome our 21⁄2-year-old male Great Pyrenees/Lab mix. He is neutered, and this is not a decision we are making lightly. We love him so much and want to find a home where he can get the time, space, and care he deserves. He is a big, cuddly, laid-back boy whose favorite pastime is sitting by the window and watching the world go by. He loves our 3-month-old baby and has done well with the dogs he has met so far. However, he has not had much experience around other children, and he is not good with cats. We also want to be completely honest that he has had one bite incident in the past. Because of this, he needs an experienced, responsible owner who is willing to work with him, respect his boundaries, and make sure he is never put in a situation where he feels uncomfortable or unsafe. He must wear a muzzle in public. The reason we are rehoming him is that we previously lived in a house, but the house was sold, leaving us with very little time to find new housing. We now live in an apartment with three dogs and a baby, and unfortunately, we cannot provide the space and individual attention that he, especially as a large breed, deserves. We are not looking to give him to just anyone. We want to find someone patient, knowledgeable, and committed to giving him a safe, loving home for the rest of his life. We would rather take our time finding the right fit than rush this decision. This is incredibly hard for our family, and we only want what is best for him. If you think you could offer him the right home, please reach out and tell us a little about yourself, your experience with large dogs, and the environment you could provide. Please share to help us find our boy the home he deserves.
