Meet Tycho! Tycho is a 7-month-old Plott Hound/Great Dane mix who has been thriving in his foster home! He’s a sweet, intelligent pup with a playful personality, a curious mind, and so much love to give. This boy is incredibly food-motivated, which makes learning fun! He’s already mastered sit and paw/shake, with down currently in progress. He loves a good game of fetch and is always up for chasing balls, playing with toys, or collecting sticks. But after he’s gotten his playtime in, he’s just as happy curling up beside you for a cozy nap. Tycho is also turning into a wonderful walking companion! He’s been doing great on leash, enjoys staying close to his people, and is becoming more confident as he discovers all the exciting sights, sounds, and smells the world has to offer. His confidence continues to grow every day! He enjoys the company of other dogs and would likely benefit from having a friendly, well-matched canine companion in his forever home. He’s respectful of his foster sister’s boundaries and responds well to corrections from other dogs. Like any young pup, Tycho is still learning and has a few things to work on. He’s VERY enthusiastic about mealtime, so his foster family currently feeds him separately from their resident dogs. On walks, he can occasionally be unsure of more assertive dogs and may have brief reactions, but he responds well to redirection. When walking alongside a dog he knows and feels comfortable with, he tends to stay focused and close to his person. Tycho is looking for a patient, loving family who will continue nurturing his growing confidence, keep his clever mind engaged, and give him plenty of opportunities to play, explore, learn, and experience everything life has to offer. He’s still just a puppy with so much potential, and we can’t wait to see him blossom in his forever home! Tycho is UTD on shots, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $650.
