CATALINA CRUNCH A187999 23 lb. spayed female, approx 5 months old *Young German Shepherd with big working-dog energy and an equally big personality. * Exited her kennel nicely and was social and comfortable with the handler. * Very affectionate and actively seeks out human attention. * Has the cutest habit of circling around me and rubbing her body against them like a cat. * Became very food motivated and loved treats once she settled in. * Very vocal when she wants something, including demand barking for attention or affection--smart, persistent working-dog behavior. * General chaos appear puppy-like and driven by excitement and poor impulse control. * When receiving affection, she becomes noticeably quieter and more settled. * Overall, Catalina is a sweet, silly, high-energy German Shepherd puppy who will need structure, exercise, and plenty of appropriate outlets for that busy working-dog brain. Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids *Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt *Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. *Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. *There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. *To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** *The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30, except for Wednesday when we open at 11:30 **We ask that if you're looking to adopt, you arrive before 5:00 to be able to have enough time to meet the dog. **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit
