About Carla
Carla is a sweet, 30 lb. spayed female mixed breed, about 9 months old. This young girl has great ears and walks nicely on a leash but was a bit timid when she first arrived. She seemed nervous at first, trembling in the yard, so we moved inside to help her settle down where she felt more secure. Carla is very treat-motivated and knows how to sit, taking her snacks gently. Toys are still a mystery to her; she found my squeaky toy a little intimidating. But as she began to feel more comfortable, her playful nature started to show. With a little encouragement, she joined in on some playtimeโdoing zoomies and bouncing around cheerfully! While she hasn't completely relaxed yet, she appreciates gentle pets and being close to her humans. This girl just needs some time, patience, and reassurance to help her blossom. With the right environment, I believe a fun-loving puppy is waiting to emerge. If you're considering adopting a puppy, keep in mind they require training, time, and lots of love to reach their full potential. She seems non-reactive to other dogs nearby, suggesting she may adapt well to having a fur sibling after proper introductions. Keep in mind that her behavior with cats or kids is unknown. Give her the chance to settle in at her own pace; you might be surprised by the joy she brings! Make her next chapter a happy one. Click apply to start the adoption process.
