Cookie Crisp A187974 56 lb. spayed female, approx 1 year old * Smart, perceptive, and playful girl who can be a little overwhelmed by the shelter environment. * Warms up with time and becomes more interested in treats and engaging with her new person in a structured way. * Enjoys chasing a ball and is able to move on when play is over. * Walks nicely on a shorter leash and responds well to clear direction. * Comfortable with being touched and handled. * Shows a fun, goofy personality when given the space to relax and be herself. * Would likely thrive in a home where she can decompress, settle into a solid routine, and have appropriate outlets for her energy *Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids *Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt *Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. *Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. *There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. *To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** *The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30, except for Wednesday when we open at 11:30 **We ask that if you're looking to adopt, you arrive before 5:00 to be able to have enough time to meet the dog. **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit
