About Chase

Chase A187694 25 lb. neutered male, approx 1 year old -What a difference a little time can make! This sweet boy was so timid when I met him last week, but today--I was amazed by the change! Today he was wiggly, confident and ready to show me his fun personality! -He was super playful and loved running around and doing zoomies. He's also very food motivated. He sits patiently, takes treats nicely and can even catch them! He showed some interest in toys and would chase after them briefly, but his favorite thing seemed to be getting attention from his person. -He loves climbing into your lap for pets and cuddles, and he absolutely loves being held like a baby. He gives kisses and is just an all-around wonderful pup. He also walks nicely on a leash. -Seeing how much more confident he was today was so exciting. He's already come such a long way, and I think there's so much more of his personality waiting to come out as he continues to feel safe and loved. -Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids *Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt *Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. *Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. *There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. *To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** *The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30, except for Wednesday when we open at 11:30 **We ask that if you're looking to adopt, you arrive before 5:00 to be able to have enough time to meet the dog. **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit
