Periwinkle is a beautiful tortoiseshell female kitten born August 26, 2026. She is one of five precious babies born to Belladonna, a beautiful Siamese mother who was struggling to keep her little family alive outdoors. Periwinkle and her siblings, including Edelweiss and Holly, entered the world under very difficult circumstances. Their mother was severely underweight and struggling to produce enough milk to nourish her five newborn kittens. With so many tiny mouths to feed and so little nutrition available to her, Belladonna desperately needed help. Thankfully, this little family was rescued and brought into the care of Edgar and Ivy's Cat Sanctuary. We placed Belladonna and her babies in a loving foster home, where their mother could finally receive the food, care, and security she needed while continuing to raise her kittens. Instead of struggling to survive outdoors, Periwinkle and her siblings were able to grow up surrounded by warmth, protection, and attentive care. As Belladonna regained her strength, her babies grew stronger too. Periwinkle blossomed into an absolutely adorable little tortoiseshell with beautiful black and orange markings, enormous expressive eyes, and a precious little face. It is hard to imagine that this beautiful baby was once part of a family struggling simply to survive. Today, Periwinkle is ready to begin the next chapter of her life. She is looking for a loving indoor home where she will always have plenty to eat, a soft place to sleep, toys to play with, and a family who will cherish her. Her mother worked so hard to keep her babies alive, and thanks to the kindness of the people who rescued them, Periwinkle has been given the opportunity for a wonderful future. Now this precious little girl is ready for the happy ending that every kitten deserves: a safe, loving home and a family of her very own.
