Sadie is a beautiful female torbie kitten born June 27, 2026. With her gorgeous mixture of tabby stripes and tortoiseshell coloring, bright eyes, and precious little face, this sweet girl has come a long way from the critically vulnerable baby who first arrived at Edgar and Ivy's Cat Sanctuary. Sadie and her brother Soren were brought to our shelter as tiny, motherless kittens. Both babies were very sick and covered in ringworm, a contagious fungal infection that can be especially challenging to manage in young, fragile kittens. At an age when they should have been nursing from their mother, these two little orphans were facing illness, hunger, and an uncertain future. They needed specialized care, treatment, and someone willing to take on the enormous responsibility of raising them. Thankfully, they found that care at Edgar and Ivy. Our team began bottle raising Sadie and Soren, providing carefully scheduled feedings around the clock while also treating their ringworm and other health concerns. Caring for kittens this young is demanding enough, but managing a contagious infection adds another layer of difficulty. There were countless bottles, careful cleaning and sanitation, medical treatments, and weeks of close monitoring as we worked to help these babies recover. Slowly, Sadie began to grow stronger. Her ringworm cleared, her health improved, and the tiny, sick orphan developed into the beautiful young kitten she is today. Sadie has now completely regained her health. She has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped and is finally ready for adoption. We are looking for a loving indoor home where this precious girl can enjoy the safe, comfortable life she deserves. After such a difficult beginning, Sadie is ready for soft beds, toys to play with, gentle affection, and a family who will cherish her forever. Sadie and Soren arrived at our shelter without their mother, covered in ringworm, and desperately needing help. Today, Sadie is healthy and ready to begin a wonderful new chapter. Her story is a reminder of what dedicated neonatal care can accomplish for even the smallest and sickest kittens. Now all Sadie needs is someone to give her the happy ending she has worked so hard to reach: a forever home of her very own.
