Ghost is a beautiful solid black female cat, approximately three years old, with gorgeous golden-green eyes and a sweet, affectionate personality. She is one of the survivors of a heartbreaking hoarding situation involving 38 cats rescued by Edgar and Ivy's Cat Sanctuary. Ghost was living in a severely overcrowded house where dozens of cats were struggling to survive. The conditions were terrible. The cats were confined in cramped spaces, exposed to extreme heat, and had very limited access to adequate food and clean water. With so many unsterilized cats living together, the population had grown out of control. Many were malnourished, suffering from upper respiratory infections, and living under tremendous stress. These animals had no way to escape their circumstances or find the care they desperately needed. Ghost was one of those innocent lives. When Edgar and Ivy became involved, our goal was to give these cats the medical attention, nutrition, and safe environment they had been missing. For Ghost, that meant leaving behind the chaos and uncertainty of the hoarding house and finally having an opportunity to live a healthy, comfortable life. Despite everything she experienced, Ghost has remained an incredibly sweet girl. She is a wonderful reminder that cats who have endured difficult circumstances can still have so much affection and trust to offer. Ghost has now been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped and is ready for adoption. At approximately three years old, she is a young adult with so many wonderful years ahead of her. We would love to see her find a peaceful indoor home where she can enjoy soft beds, good food, gentle affection, and the security of knowing she will never again have to compete with dozens of other cats for life's basic necessities. Ghost spent part of her life as one of 38 cats in a house where her individual needs could easily be overlooked. Now we want her to be someone's special girl. She has survived the hoarding house, regained her safety, and is ready for the one thing she has been missing all along: a loving family of her very own.
