Meet Cherry Pie! Cherry Pie is a very special little girl. She is a dilute tabby kitten born May 10, 2026, and she was the smallest of the Weslaco kittens we rescued. When Cherry Pie arrived, she was extremely underweight, frail, and struggling. To make matters worse, someone had painted her tiny body with some type of hard, lacquer-like substance. We carefully washed the substance from her skin and fur, but when it finally came off, poor Cherry Pie was left almost completely bald. She was so tiny and fragile that she spent weeks in an incubator, being carefully fed by syringe while our team worked to help her gain weight and grow stronger. There were many days when this little kitten needed absolutely everything we could give her. But Cherry Pie had plans. She fought, she grew, and slowly that tiny, bald little baby became a healthy and playful kitten. She remains extremely petite and may always be a tiny girl, but what she lacks in size she has certainly made up for in determination. Today, Cherry Pie is healthy, happy, playful, and finally ready for the life we hoped she would get to have. She is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Cherry Pie truly is one of our little miracles. After such a difficult beginning, this tiny girl is finally ready for something much simpler: a safe home, a loving family, and a lifetime of happiness.
