Boxley is a gorgeous black and white tuxedo kitten born July 3, 2026. With his sleek black coat, beautiful white chest, bright golden eyes, and handsome little face, this precious boy is part of our Mythology Litter, a group of kittens whose lives were nearly thrown away before they had even begun. Boxley and his siblings were just two weeks old when a man arrived at the doors of Edgar and Ivy's Cat Sanctuary carrying the tiny, motherless babies. What he told us was something no animal rescue ever wants to hear. He said that if we did not take the kittens, he would throw them out into a field when he left. These were helpless babies who had barely opened their eyes. They couldn't eat on their own, couldn't keep themselves warm, and had no mother to provide the nourishment and protection they desperately needed. At only two weeks old, being abandoned in a field would almost certainly have meant their deaths. We weren't given time to prepare, arrange for additional space, or find another solution. We were simply presented with an ultimatum: take these babies immediately or allow them to be discarded. For us, there was never really a choice. We took them. Boxley and his siblings became part of the Edgar and Ivy family, and our team began the exhausting but rewarding process of bottle raising an entire litter of orphaned kittens. Every few hours, throughout the day and night, these babies needed carefully prepared bottles, warmth, cleaning, and constant monitoring. Raising newborn kittens without their mother requires extraordinary dedication, and every successful feeding brought these tiny lives one step closer to survival. There were sleepless nights, countless bottles, and weeks of careful attention as our caregivers worked to give these kittens the opportunity to grow up. And slowly, they began to thrive. Boxley grew stronger, learned to eat on his own, and eventually graduated into our nursery alongside his siblings. The little kitten who had once faced abandonment was now safe, healthy, and surrounded by people who believed his life mattered. Today, Boxley is a handsome young tuxedo boy who has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He is finally ready to find a family of his very own. We are looking for a loving indoor home where Boxley will never again be treated
