Meet Moochi Moochi is a 10-year-old Chihuahua/Dachshund mix who is back at our shelter after a short adoption. Unfortunately, the other dog in his adoptive home and Moochi weren't getting along, so he's once again searching for a family where he can settle in and enjoy his golden years. Before coming to us, Moochi was surrendered when his owner could no longer make the time to care for him. According to his previous owner, Moochi is simply "perfect," and it's easy to see why! Moochi has previously lived with other dogs, cats, and children, and his former owner described him as potty trained. While he has experience living with other animals, his recent return reminds us that every dog is different, and compatibility with resident pets is important. A careful introduction and meet-and-greet would be recommended for any potential canine siblings. Our medical team recently gave Moochi a dental cleaning and extracted three teeth to help him feel his best as he starts this next chapter. Staff describe Moochi as friendly, incredibly sweet, and easy to handle. He walks beautifully on a leash and already knows how to sit and shake! Moochi may be a senior, but he still has so much love to give. He's hoping his next adoption will be the one that lasts-a home where he'll be cherished, understood, and loved for the rest of his days
