Meet Arnold & Eugene! Sometimes the best friendships come along exactly when they're needed most. Arnold was born mid-May 2026 and Eugene was born late April 2026. Arnold was found in a yard after being mauled by a dog. He had bites and scratches all across his little body, and his rear leg was so badly injured near his hip that unfortunately it could not be saved. Arnold underwent surgery to have his leg amputated and spent quite some time hospitalized while he recovered. After spending so much time in the hospital recovering from his injuries, Arnold was finally able to return to C.A.T.S. We knew this sweet little guy could use some companionship, so we placed his crate next to Eugene's. What happened next was absolutely heartwarming! The two immediately took an interest in each other and began playing through their crates! It was obvious how happy they were to have found a friend. One of our amazing fosters offered to take both boys together, and their friendship has only grown from there. Today, Arnold and Eugene are best friends who spend their days playing, running, climbing, and having the best time together! And having only three legs certainly hasn't slowed Arnold down! We also want to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who donated toward Arnold's medical care! Because of your generosity and support, Arnold was able to receive the treatment and surgery he desperately needed and has made an incredible recovery. Seeing him happy, active, and enjoying life with Eugene is exactly what we hoped for! Both boys are as sweet as they come, and after seeing the beautiful bond they've formed, we know their story should continue together. Arnold & Eugene are a bonded pair and MUST be adopted together! They found friendship when they needed it most. Now all they need is a loving forever family to call their own.
