***10/28/26 - 📍Located in Austin TX 💙🐾 MEET QALVIN 4.10 POUNDS OF SENIOR SWEETNESS! 🐾💙 Some little souls just need someone to give them a chance. Meet Qalvin! 🥹❤️ Qalvin is an approximately 15-year-old Yorkie Terrier who weighs just 4.10 lbs. This precious senior boy came into the shelter in a terrible matted mess, but after a much-needed grooming, he must feel SO much better! ✂️💕 Now he’s ready to enjoy the comforts and love every little dog deserves. Qalvin's hair wasn't the only messy thing about him, he also comes with some good old crusty dog issues going on. Qalvin has collapsing trachea, which thankfully doesn't seem to bother him, he is blind, toofless, and he has heart disease and needs to stay on medication. Due to his medical issues, the vet is advising not to neuter him at this time. But honestly, this messy king 👑 doesn't care about any of that, he is just loving and kind hearted and happy to have love and attention ❤️❤️❤️ A little about Qalvin: * 🐾 Approximately 15 years old * ⚖️ Just 4.10 lbs * 💙 Yorkie Terrier * 👀 Blind, but that doesn’t stop him from exploring! * 🦷 No teeth * ❤️‍🩹 Heart disease * 🍽️ Has a good appetite * 💤 Sleeps in his kennel * 🛏️ Loves to burrow into cozy blankets * 🥰 An incredibly sweet little guy * 🐾 Loves to explore and will happily do it all day! Qalvin is a tiny explorer with a big personality! Even though he’s blind, he loves discovering his surroundings. Because he’s so little and can’t see, he needs someone who will keep a close eye on him and help him stay safe. He also loves being carried, whether snuggled in your arms or tucked into a sling where he can be close to his person. ❤️ Imagine this little guy burrowed into a soft blanket, feeling safe and loved, knowing he finally has a family of his own. After everything he’s been through, doesn’t he deserve that? 🥹💙 Let’s find this little senior a soft place to land and a heart to call home! 💙🐾 ***10/24/26 - Meet Crusty Qalvin! When one of your hardest working fosters sends you a crusty matted yorkie senior, and asks if we "can pretend he is a Chihuahua", and you see this sweet ratchet Yorkie face looking back at you... you respond with "hello you beautiful gremlin chihuahua" and you never look back. Qalvin showed up to the shelter as a stray, and you can tell whatever he has been through has been rough. He has cataracts, and is blind in both eyes. His fur was so matted and dirty, the shelter vet couldn't remove the fur covering his right eye to fully examine. He has a bloated belly, hunched back, bad teefs, and heart murmur. As soon as his foster momma got her mitts on him, she called a groomer to clean him up and look at how much better he already is looking and feeling. The shelter estimated 12 years old, but it's possible that he is from the Mesozoic era. Either way, his foster family is ready to make his happy and comfortable and he will get to see Dr. Weaver at SouthPaw Animal Care on Monday ❤️ More pupdates to come! ***10/23/26 - New intake from AAC, 15 yrs, 4.25 lbs
