Melody is a striking German Shepherd mix, around five to six years old and weighing 60 pounds. Her golden coat shines in the sunlight, but it's her loving nature that truly captures hearts. Thoughtful and intelligent, she forms deep connections with those lucky enough to be in her circle. After a rough start, Melody is eager to find a family that will show her the love and safety she deserves. Rescued alongside her siblings after her previous owner's arrest, she was in rough shape before being taken in. Since then, she's learned to appreciate the comfort of food and a warm bed, even if she can be a bit food aggressive at times. Simply put her food down and give her space to enjoy it. Melody thrives on long walks and showcases excellent leash manners. After chasing a tennis ball, she's more than happy to curl up next to you for an evening of cuddles. She's the type of dog that wants to be wherever her person is. At the Rescue Ranch, she peacefully coexists with horses, cows, goats, and donkeys, but is selective with dogs and would likely prefer to be the only one in the household. Fostered near Houston, Texas, she comes with an adoption fee of $300. Meeting Melody in person is highly recommended, as she can be a bit shy with new people in unfamiliar settings.
