About Moz

Meet Moz! Moz is a handsome young pup eager to find a family of his own after spending far too long at the shelter. At 4.5 to 5 months old and weighing under 30 lbs, he’s still growing and is expected to reach around 50 to 60 lbs as an adult. While his medical records list him as an American Blue Heeler, he might also have some Pointer genes. Regardless of his mix, what matters most is getting to know Moz as the unique individual he is. Found wandering, Moz was brought in by animal control, and sadly, no one came for him. He enjoys the company of other dogs and would thrive with a canine friend, though he could also adapt well as an only dog if his family prioritizes companionship and play. As a young pup, Moz is learning about potty training, basic commands, and leash walking, and he needs adopters who can guide him patiently through these lessons. It's essential for his new family to understand the time and support he needs as he adjusts to life outside the shelter. While Moz hasn’t been specifically tested with cats, a home with feline friends may work with careful introductions. He has limited experience with children, so older, respectful kids would likely be the best fit as he learns his manners. A home with a yard would be ideal, but Moz could also thrive in an apartment if given regular exercise and mental stimulation. Moz is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations. He's in Texas with his shelter group, and anyone interested will need to finalize the adoption before transportation is arranged. He has already spent months waiting for a loving home, and the goal is to ensure his puppyhood is filled with love, exploration, and new experiences. Ready to help Moz grow and thrive?
