Ivy is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and is currently being fostered in Tomah, WI. She is crate trained, house trained, and has made significant progress in overcoming her past. Meet Ivy! This sweet little girl is a 2-year-old chihuahua mix, weighing under 10 pounds. Ivy and several other small-breed pups were found dumped in the forest, and it’s clear she has faced significant neglect before arriving at the rescue. Though she may seem a little unsure of the world around her, Ivy is slowly learning what love is all about. It took her a few days to accept basic affection, but she enjoys running, playing with toys, and hanging out with her furry foster siblings. Interestingly, she doesn’t pay much attention to the resident cats. While she loves snuggling on the floor or couch nearby, Ivy prefers to keep a little space and often seems to be in "flight mode." However, if you pick her up, she’ll happily accept pets and snuggles. A quieter home would suit Ivy best, ideally with older, respectful children and no large dogs. She’s crate trained and often puts herself to bed in her crate. With her house training, she’ll give a cute little dance when it’s time for a potty break.
