About Tabitha
Tabitha is a delightful 9-month-old black, tan, and white mixed-breed girl weighing around 27 pounds, likely with some shepherd in her lineage. Rescued from a dump in Tennessee, Tabitha has been thriving in foster care. Everything about her new life is fresh and exciting, and sheโs embracing it all with a wagging tail. At first, she might feel a bit timid when meeting new people, hanging back until she senses warmth and kindness. With encouragement and affection, her confidence blooms daily. Tabitha loves walks, belly rubs, and playtime with other dogs. She's gentle in play and would benefit greatly from having a canine companion. This clever girl is already crate trained and sleeps well in her crate from 10 pm to 7 am. House training is progressing nicely, and sheโs picking up basic commands, learning to walk on a leash despite having little experience before. Tabitha has a moderate energy level, enjoying a couple of short walks each day combined with ample playtime. She's adaptable to apartment or city living, feeling comfortable both indoors and outdoors. She has spent time with children ages six and up, observing them attentively. Though she appreciates calmness, a quiet home with older kids will suit her best, as she can be overwhelmed by loud noise. Tabitha does tend to chase cats if they run, so she needs a home without feline friends. With patience and love, Tabitha promises to be a loyal, affectionate companion for years to come.
