About Lux
Lux is a striking 6-year-old, 30-pound Miniature Australian Shepherd with a gorgeous red coat and a gentle personality. He thrives on companionship and often rests his paws against you, wanting to be part of whatever you're doing. His affectionate nature is truly heartwarming. This well-mannered boy rarely barks and gets along well with the dogs he meets. He enjoys outdoor time within a securely fenced area and walks nicely on a leash without pulling. With basic commands like 'sit' and 'come' under his belt, he's also crate trained. His energy level is moderate; Lux enjoys outdoor adventures, yet knows when to settle down. Though he can be shy and may hide when scared, Lux generally prefers quiet moments. He can bark at strangers initially, but will calm down with reassurance. Gentle introductions to new friends are key due to his occasional corrections over personal space. His experience with cats is uncertain. Having underwent surgery for bladder stones, Lux's medical history should be discussed with a future vet. He is neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations, including rabies. Lux has been around people and other dogs, but hasn't spent much time alone, so a patient family willing to help him adjust is ideal. After the heartbreaking loss of his previous ownerโs daughter, Lux is looking for a new home where he can feel safe and loved. If youโre interested in giving him that fresh start, consider applying today!
