About Rocky

Rocky is a 10-month-old male mixed breed, specifically an American Staffordshire Terrier and Pit Bull Terrier mix, currently residing at Citrus County Animal Services in Inverness, FL. He weighs 56 pounds and has a short, tan coat. Initially, Rocky found the world overwhelming, leaning on a larger female dog for comfort when he first arrived. However, he's made significant progress and now enjoys exploring the outdoors during long walks with volunteers. This affectionate pup thrives on praise and enjoys squeaky toys. In a recent foster home, he adapted well to house training with attentive cues and formed a strong bond with his caregiver. Rocky can be sensitive when left alone, needing a patient family that can help him build confidence. While he can be shy around unfamiliar men, he's shown improvement with kind introductions from male volunteers at the shelter. Rocky is neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested, and fully vaccinated. He’s eager to find a loving family who will celebrate his growth and continue to guide him. Could that family be yours?
