Cleo is a 2-year-old spayed female black mouth cur mix with a medium coat. She is house trained and has her vaccinations up to date. Cleo is located in Gulfport, MS, and enjoys yellow and tan hues. As a large dog, she's playful and affectionate, waiting for a loving family to call her own.

About Cleo

Meet Cleo! This young black mouth cur mix, at 2 years old, has faced adversity head-on. Abandoned and becoming a mother to eight puppies, she's also triumphed over heartworms. Now, Cleo is vibrant, playful, and brimming with energy. Her joyful spirit makes her a delight to be around, and she is house trained, making her a fantastic companion. Cleo thrives in a home with a secure, fenced yard because she’s quite the jumper, easily clearing a 5-foot fence. She needs a loving family ready to help her gain confidence after her past. While she enjoys the company of people, long periods alone can make her anxious. Cleo hasn’t been tested with cats but seems quite curious about them. Older children would fit her active nature best. She's good on the leash but can be reactive around bicycles and motorcycles, so she’ll need a handler who can keep her focused. Cleo has met various dogs successfully but was returned after a previous adoption due to a conflict with one dog in the home. Thus, she'll be happiest in a household without other dogs. However, she is fine with doggy playdates. Cleo has waited a long time for her forever home. If you’re ready to bring joy into her life, apply now to show what makes you the right choice for her.
