About ErnestC

Meet Ernest. Some cats spend their entire lives waiting for a family. Ernest once thought he had found his. Eight years ago, when he was around 6-8 years old, Ernest left Forgotten Cats, believing he had found his forever home. For nearly a decade, he enjoyed the comforts of a warm bed, a favorite spot on the couch, and the familiar voices of loved ones in a routine of affection. Then, everything changed, and he was returned to us. Ernest doesn’t understand why—why his beloved couch is gone, why his favorite human won’t return, or why he’s now sleeping in a kennel instead of curled up beside someone he trusts. Each day, he waits, staring at the door with those soulful green eyes, hoping this is all a mistake. It’s heartbreaking to witness. Senior cats like Ernest don’t ask for much; they seek only a soft place to nap, gentle hands to pet them, and a loving companion for the rest of their days. He has already given almost a decade of his heart to one family, and now he hopes someone will finally give him what he truly deserves—a forever home that means forever. Could it be YOU? Ernest is FIV+. He is currently acclimating with his new foster family and feline friend Brenton. Stay tuned for updates. Click apply to start the adoption process.
