Meet Blue! Those ears! Those eyes! And that adorable little face! Blue is a charming 7-month-old Australian Cattle Dog mix, weighing in at about 22 pounds. She came to our care after her former owner faced health challenges and could no longer provide the support she needed. Life changes sometimes lead amazing dogs like Blue to seek new families. Before her journey to Kansas City, Blue stayed with a loving foster family who had multiple dogs, cats, and a child. Her time there was a success! Blue showed herself to be dog-friendly, settling in well with four other dogs. She also adapted flawlessly around the family’s three cats and was comfortable around their child. Remarkably, she had no indoor accidents, demonstrating that she’s already house-trained. Blue even handled being in a crate well, settling down after a brief period of whimpering. Adorably, her foster said she reminds them of a baby deer due to her slender build and expressive ears. As a young dog, she needs a family prepared to continue her training and offer plenty of exercise and playtime, which she will likely thrive on. Blue is a wonderful fit for a family looking for an affectionate young companion. Her experiences indicate she could adapt well to many household dynamics.
